Why is the Jewcy Haggadah different from all other Haggadahs?

The Jewcy Haggadah is one-of-a-kind. Hand-illustrated and written by Debbie Foster, this special book will transform your Seder experience. Debbie created the first edition of her Haggadah in 2003 for young Jewish and interfaith families. Now in it’s 6th edition, Debbie’s Haggadah is successfully used to celebrate freedom in every type of Jewish community all over the country.

The Jewcy Haggadah is FULL of simple and helpful ideas. Within its pages, you’ll find a list of everything needed to set your table and prepare your Seder to enhance the experience for everyone. It even has recipes for simple and delicious Matzo Ball Soup, decadent Matzah Toffee and Jewcy Short-Rib Tzimmes!

The Jewcy Haggadah is for EVERYONE. This unique Haggadah promises to make Seder accessible, meaningful and fun as it leads adults and children through thousands of years of Jewish traditions, insights and values. All participants are kept engaged with the interactive activities, an easy-to-follow format, spirited explanations and dynamic conversation starters.

The Jewcy Haggadah is versatile. You might be wondering How long will the Seder be? if you choose The Jewcy Haggadah. The good news is the length is up to you! The actual ‘parts’ to the Seder are quick - but there are also really great questions which can lead to thoughtful conversations at your table. Nothing is boring about the Jewcy Haggadah!

The Jewcy Haggadah is hands-on. There are tons of places for kids and adults to color and add their own commentaries so make sure that you include markers, crayons and stickers on your table! Here is a simple list of art supplies to have on the table for guests:

  • Washable markers - thin and/or thick. (Do not use permanent markers on the pages as they will bleed through. I’m a big fan of Crayola Supertips - one package offers a huge assortment of colors!)

  • New Crayons - Who doesn’t love a box of new crayons??

  • Stickers - Think ‘plagues’ - frogs, animals, cows, bugs, sunglasses, etc. Alphabet stickers are also great to make available! Don’t forget to visit the ‘foam’ aisle in the craft store; buckets of adhesive foam stickers are perfect for The Jewcy Haggadah.
